I’ve recently seen the ad of this brush, and it looks very cool. Does it really work that great as a manufacturer promises? I’ve always taken all these all-in-one tools with a pinch of salt, but XHI seems to be different.
As a person who has used the XHI magic hair detangler & straightener brush for almost a month, I could say that it works just fine. It’s really a 3-in-1 appliance which could be used not only for straightening curls but also for detangling knots and massaging the scalp skin.
Honestly, I don’t use these functions very often as I prefer to detangle my hair with a regular comb, but head massaging with this brush is nice. I’m pretty satisfied with its basic features. This brush warms up in less than 2 minutes, and it has a wide range of heat settings up to the maximum 450°F, so I assume that all hair types could be straightened with this tool. It maintains the selected temperature throughout the styling, so you don’t need to reset it all the time. This brush also has an auto shut off function in case you leave it turned on (but I don’t recommend doing this!).
It’s claimed to prevent hair breakage, reduce static electricity and gives your hair extra shine and smoothness. It has anti-scalding design as well, so you don’t need to worry about getting burned. I could say that my locks look pretty nice after using the brush; they’re silky, soft and less frizzy indeed. I wish this brush could reduce the frizz entirely, but maybe my natural hair is just too frizzy and kinky. The other con is that sometimes my hair gets pulled on while using the XHI brush, so be careful and don’t hurry. Overall, this brush is a fine appliance to straighten or detangle hair, and the price is pretty affordable.
