QuestionsCategory: Flat ironsWhat is the smallest flat iron you have ever used?

I’d like to take one overseas, so it should be really compact. However, it shouldn’t be less efficient than regular-sized straighteners. Your advice?

The smallest flat iron that I’ve ever used is the Conair mini Pro Straightener. This tool is only 15 cm long – it’s like the size of your hand! It’s also about 1 cm wide, so the dimensions are really impressive, aren’t they? I believe it’s a perfect tool to take traveling or even carry in your purse for everyday use. Though the tool is that small, it has quite a long cord which is almost 2 meters long, so you could easily use this flat iron in any public place where a power socket is available.

A couple of words about the technical features of this flat iron.

First of all, it features tourmaline coated heating plates which are claimed to be the best for hair health and appearance. This material helps to reduce static electricity, restore the water balance and enhance shine. Also, due to its shape and dimensions, this straightening iron can get to the very roots, unlike many other straighteners.

The mini MHD straightener heats up in about two minutes and cools down in 5 minutes or so which is also pretty fast and convenient. The only problem is that you couldn’t select the temperature you need.

The heat level is 356°F which is more than enough for normal hair, but if your locks are thick and curly this flat iron won’t work so well.I guess it’s not a great option for very long curls as well because it will take a lot of time to tame them.

Overall, I believe that the MHD flat iron is a nice styling tool to make your hair straight or curly. It’s high-performance, compact, light and convenient to use outside – what else do you need from a small flat iron?
