I’d like to make my short curls straight but flat irons aren’t so good at that. What appliance would be the best solution to straighten my hair which length is a tad above shoulders? Could you name the best straightener for short hair?

I believe that almost any straightening appliance could make your curls straight if chosen properly. Let’s discuss the three most common hair straighteners for short hair: the flat iron, the straightening brush, and the hot air brush.
If you want to tame your curls with a flat iron, pay special attention to compact models with narrow heated plates. They could get to the very roots and other hard-to-reach areas to make your locks entirely straight. Heaters don’t need to be very long, but its length is up to you. In that case, the main dimension is width.
Secondly, there is a straightening brush. I would recommend you to choose from rectangular-shaped models with slick design rather than oval-shaped brushes. A slim brush will straighten your curls from the very roots to the ends when a bulky one could merely cope with short hair.
Finally, you could use a hot air brush for making short hair straight as well. Consider purchasing a model with a smaller barrel for the same reason: such hot air brush could access the roots, and it will leave not a single strand curly. So, as far as you’re using compact and small straighteners for making short hair straight, I believe that the final outcome could be pretty impressive.
In my opinion, one of the best hair straighteners for short hair is the AsaVea straightening brush. It’s compact and pretty lightweight, and its slick design is perfect for your hair length. Due to the long bristles of this brush, you will be able to do more hair at a time, but you should section it out anyway. The basic features of this brush are quite impressive. For instance, it has 6 heat levels, so hair of any texture could be easily straightened with this brush. It’s ready to use in less than 90 seconds, and the maximum temperature is 365˚F. Its anti-scald design prevents your skin and scalp from burning, so it’s absolutely safe to use. AsaVea features a pretty long swivel cord that allows you to easily rotate the brush at different angles to reach even hard-to-get areas. It also has an auto lock which is pretty rare but extremely useful feature in straightening brushes.
I believe that AsaVea is the best electric brush for straightening short curly hair, but which tool to choose is only up to you. I just want to add that it’s a kind of an appliance that will make your hair look natural and healthy. Unlike flat irons, a straightening brush keeps the natural volume of your locks and makes them glossy, soft and smooth. It doesn’t matter whether your hair is short, medium-length or long. Curls of any length could be straightened with an electric styling tool chosen properly.
