I guess it’s quite a popular styling tool nowadays. Does it really work better than flat irons do, and if so, why?

Let me answer your second question – yes, an LCD hair straightener brush is said to be a better choice than a flat iron.

There are a number of reasons for that:

  • the brush is faster,
  • easier to use, and last but not the least
  • way safer for hair health.

It doesn’t damage hair so much if used properly. You can use this brush for styling every day when a flat iron is advised to use no more than 2-3 times a week. Just be sure that you adjust the right temperature for your hair type and use a heat protection spray, and the risk of damaging will be minor.

The current level of heat is shown on the LCD, and you can set up the required temperature easily. An electric hair straightener comb is also safer in terms of burning skin while using.

Flat irons don’t usually have any kind of protection, and you could easily burn your fingers, neck or forehead. On the contrary, most brushes have a protective row of bristles, and bristles themselves have silicon or rubber tips which also prevent skin from scalding.

Let us get back to the main question.

An LCD electric straightening brush looks like a regular comb, only a little bigger. It straightens wavy, curly and kinky hair efficiently due to heated plates of its inner area that apply heat on hair strands. Modern brushes usually have a ceramic or tourmaline surface which is considered to be the best for hair health. These materials not only make your locks smooth, soft and shiny but also reduce static electricity and restore moisture balance. I don’t want to say that it’s a panacea for dried and brittle hair, but an ionic brush can actually make hair stronger and healthier.

Such brushes usually have a long swivel cord which allows you to reach even hard-to-get strands. Due to its slick rectangular or oval shape, a straightening brush can get to the very roots, and a regular flat iron isn’t very good at that. Moreover, after using the brush hair volume isn’t get lessened which is especially nice if you have thin flat hair. As you can see, an electric straightening brush is both efficient and safe to use.

That’s why it’s much better than a flat iron, but would you choose this brush or a flat iron is up to you anyway.
