I’d like to buy a straightener with an auto shut off function as I’m a little forgetful and I may leave my straightener turned on. I’ve actually had such experience, and, thank goodness, I didn’t burn my beloved flat iron at that time =)
Hi, Alice! Thank you for your question. Be careful with any electric styling tool and don’t leave it switched on anyway! But you definitely should buy an appliance with an auto shut-off to avoid any risk. Let me tell you about two of my favorite straightening tools which happen to have an auto shut off.
Firstly, it’s the AsaVea straightening brush. Due to its slim rectangular shape, I can access to the very roots. Also, this brush doesn’t lessen the hair volume, and you get smooth, soft and glossy locks after styling. The AsaVea brush has 6 heat levels, and the maximum temperature is 365˚F. It also has an anti-scald design which is supposed to prevent skin from burning. The only problem is that it’s not dual voltage, but for me, that’s merely a con. More importantly, this brush will be turned off automatically if you don’t use it for 30 minutes.
Secondly, I would advise you to pay attention to the Remington ceramic flat iron which also has an auto shut off. I find this flat iron good at both straightening and curling. Its ceramic heated plates will enhance your hair shine, and a rotating cord will make styling as easy and convenient as possible. This flat iron warms up in only 15 seconds which is extremely fast! And you could select the temperature for any hair type from 265°F to 450°F.
Of course, there are other good and effective straighteners with an auto shut off. Which one to choose is totally up to you!
